Configure payment processing for your location
Configure how your location accepts payments from members by enabling processing methods and deciding whether to pass credit card fees to customers. These controls are in the location settings.
Open Payment Processing settings
From your location dashboard, open Settings and select Payment Processing.
Confirm you are on the page titled Payment Processing, with the subtitle Manage your payment processing settings below.
Before you can accept payments, you must connect a payment gateway. If you use Stripe, read Connect Stripe as your payment gateway first. If no gateway is configured, invoice creation and payment collection may fail.
Turn on Pass On Fees
Pass On Fees lets you add a transaction fee to customer payments so your business does not absorb the credit card cost.
In the Pass On Fees section, enable the toggle.
Save the change. The setting updates locationState.settings.passOnFees and applies to future transactions.
Transaction fees vary by plan. Free and Start-up plans include a 2% platform fee plus Stripe fees; the Growth plan includes only Stripe fees. The exact amount is shown in your plan details.
Choose processing methods
Processing Methods controls which payment types members can use at checkout.
In the Processing Methods section, enable or disable each method:
Credit Card β standard credit card processing such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, etc.
Bank Account β ACH bank account processing for US customers.
Save the change.
The UI prevents disabling the last enabled method. If you try, a toast appears: At least one processing method must remain enabled.
Bank account payments are only available with Stripe. If your location uses Square as the payment gateway, the Bank Account option is hidden and a message states: Bank account payments are only available with Stripe.
